| KidSquash - Introducing squash to newcomers and those without access to the game |
Learn a lifetime sport!
Kidsquash is a nonprofit community-based program that introduces squash to newcomers and to those who do not have access to the game. In association with Harvard University, its coaching staff and volunteers from the men and women squash teams, Kidsquash provides this unique opportunity for kids between the ages of 8 to 17 to play and learn the game.
Parents/juniors who are interested in applying are asked to make sure their child attends 60% of the time.
Program is offered by Satinder Bajwa, Head Coach at Harvard, and conducted by:
- Karim Mattar (Lead Coach, Kidsquash)
- Tariq Mohammed (Head Coach, Concord Academy)
- Harvard's Mens' and Womens' squash team as ambassadors serving the community
2009-2010 Schedule 10:30 am to 12:00 pm
- October - 3, 10, 18, 25
- November - 1, 7
- December - 12
- January - 9, 16, 23, 30
- February -13, 20, 27
- March - 13, 20, 27
Venue: Murr Center, 65 North Harvard Street, Boston MA 02163
Equipment: All you need is a shirt, shorts and indoor - non-marking - court shoes. You will be provided with a racket and ball until you are ready to make a commitment. KidSquash encourages those returning to have basic equipment - advice available.
Kidsquash is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and relies on direct contribution from it's particpants to sustain it's on going presence.
